Happy 4th of July!!

The halfway point of the season is here! Another Monday is also here which means another update from my internship! This week was a pretty big one in terms of what we were doing and things that are happening. We got the long-awaited approval for a Star Wars night and also approval for a Western Night at the ballpark both happening next week so now we have a lot to get ready for. Western Night especially because this night is going to be organized and run by us interns as much as physically possible. This will give us the invaluable experience of what it takes to fun a theme night, even organizing sponsors which is what I was tasked with. I am working together with our main sponsorship person to work it out.

Another big thing that is happening is a lot of changes in jobs. For the majority of the first half of the season, we stuck around the same jobs and now that the second half of the season is upon us (starting tomorrow) we are changing around to get new experiences and learn about the other operations of the game. I am not sure where I will be placed yet but I am excited to learn about the other game-day jobs and try my hand at them. We have two big weeks of home games coming up, especially next week when we have 6 home games in a row. That week is also some of our bigger promotional nights fall so it will be one of our more important weeks and it will teach us all quite a lot.
