I'm Back At It!!

I’M BACK! Another week is in the books and for me, due to vacation, it was my first official game week and boy was it a big one. I had my first official game last Sunday the 12th and it really kind of threw me into the whole system of things with what I was doing. My job at the moment during the games is to control the music that gets played over the speakers before and during the game. This includes pregame music, music between innings for our on-field games, the anthem (if there is no singer that night), your typical short organ/other little clips of cheers, player walkup songs, and so much more. There are also a lot of game-dependent sounds that you have to be on your toes and fast to play. We have sounds for foul balls if they go into the river, if one of our players walk, if we score, if we strike out the opponent, things like that so I have certainly learned to put ultra focus on the game and make sure I am on top of things. It has definitely been a learning experience and over this most recent 4-game homestand that closed out the weekend, I have been on the learning curve and getting used to it all and it has been a blast so far to say the least. The team has been doing pretty good too even in some close losses which helps all of that too. I am excited to continue on with more games and more fun coming up!
